The Petite Seat is owned and operated by an approved Fattycakes Licensee. Pattern creator (Berritt of Fattycakes) allows approved sewing and selling from the pattern. As an independent seamstress, The Petite Seat takes full responsibility for diaper quality. Fattycakes are known in the cloth diaper world for their universal fit, with curved wings that fit comfortably over baby’s thighs. The Petite Seat offers a choice of either pocket diapers that do not require a cover, or fitted diapers that do require a cover. Pocket diapers are modified from the original Fattycakes pattern.
Pocket Diapers
Outer layer: The outer layer is composed of a wide range of colorful PUL fabrics that have been laminated on one side to remain waterproof.
Inner layer: The inner layer is constructed with fleece in a variety of patterns and colors. Fleece is well know for its moisture-wicking ability and will help keep your baby feeling dry.
Stuffable soaker: All diapers include a tri-fold soaker that can be inserted into the pocket between the outer and inner layers. The soaker is constructed of an organic bamboo fabric known for its excellent absorbency.
Fitted Diapers
Hidden inner layer/soaker: Between the outer and inner layer lies a middle layer used to stabilize the diaper layers and anchor an internal soaker. The hidden layer and soaker are made from an organic bamboo fabric. The soaker is composed of two layers for a trim fit and great absorbency.
Inner layer: The inner layer is constructed with organic cotton velour for a soft, luxurious feel against your baby’s skin.
Snap-in soaker: Included with every fitted diaper is a soaker that snaps to the inner layer closest to baby’s skin. Composed of three layers of organic bamboo fabric and topped with organic cotton velour, it allows for quick drying time and a wonderful feel for your baby.
Fleece Covers
Fleece covers are an economical and easy solution for covering your baby’s diaper. Polyester fleece repels moisture and can be washed and dried right along with your diapers. Covers are made from a variety of fun patterns and feature a “soaker zone” located on the inside of the cover.
Cloth Wipes
From time to time The Petite Seat will offer cloth wipes. Cloth wipes are an economical alternative to disposable wipes and can be washed right along with your diapers. They come in handy for quick clean-ups and many other uses. It is recommended that an appropriate cloth wipes solution be used along with your cloth wipes.
Sizing
A detailed sizing chart will be available on the website, but for current reference the diapers will fit each of these approximate weight ranges.
- Newborn: fits ~6-12 lbs
- Small: fits ~8-20 lbs
- Medium: fits ~14-30 lbs
- Large: fits ~22-40 lbs
Diapers are competitively priced and are as follows unless noted otherwise. Fitted diapers will be $24 each and will include a snap-in soaker. Pocket diapers will be $16 each and include a tri-fold soaker. Fleece soakers will be $10 and pants/shorts/skirties will be $13.

Custom/Large Orders
Customers who wish to place a large order or would like something that isn't available in-stock can email me and I will work with you to make a large custom order. I am only able to accept one large order at a time. Please allow 1-4 weeks for completion depending on the size of the order. I require an initial non-refundable 50% deposit and the remaining 50% to be paid upon completion.
